Phill at Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford, CT | 1 October 2026 – 24 January 2027

An installation of 4 of Phill’s films from the series “The Movement of People Working” will be played in a loop simultaneously with 4 of his music compositions as part of the “Taking Shape: Contemporary Art in 3D” exhibition at the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art.

Phill was an early participant in the Wadsworth’s MATRIX contemporary art program in the 1970s. He was the artist for the Matrix 4 exhibition in 1975, which included presentation of the Sur Dos (Peru) film. The Wadsworth then obtained a 16 MM copy of the film for their permanent collection.
